Description
Up for bid is a fine English sterling octagonal small mustard pot with
cobalt glass liner by Elkington & Co, Birmingham, 1909-10. The piece is 2 3/8 inches tall by 2 3/4
inches wide over the handle and the silver portion weighs 66 grams. It has a fluted thumbpiece on a flat lid with
spoon cutout and reticulated sides. It
has its original cobalt glass liner. It has not been monogrammed. The piece is marked on the side with the Elkington
& Co maker’s mark and Birmingham hallmarks for 1909-10. The lid has partial marks as well.
Condition on the piece is quite good. There is a small flaw on the bottom of the
glass liner and a few small spots. A fine old English mustard pot!
